In 2022, the Community Engagement Committee and the POVA Golf Club exceeded expectations and produced a great campaign of community service. The golf tournament, held on July 23, 2022 at the Gauntlet Golf Club in Stafford Virginia, raised $10,000. The funds allowed the Community Engagement Committee to donate 800 bags of much needed school supplies to Fredericksburg City Schools, Spotsylvania County Schools, King George County Schools, and Stafford County Schools for the 2022-2023 school calendar year. In addition, the Committee supported King George’s Love Thy Neighbor non-profit organization by donating 25 Thanksgiving baskets and fifty- $10 gift cards as requested.

 The success of the golf tournament was not only in the $10,000 raised and donations made, but in the relationships developed with the business community and county school systems.
